Absolutely disgusting.
I would give Whangamata Area School zero stars if I could. The bathroom situation is absolutely disgusting and completely unmanaged. Most of the time, the stalls are covered in food scraps and literal mess, making them unusable, or they are constantly locked for no reason. When you actually manage to get into one, they are frequently occupied by people vaping, which is both gross and against the rules. Don't send your kids here.
Terrible school. Wished I had never gone here. The teachers do not care about you and abuse the withdrawal room. They also don't support you; they tear you down. "You excited to not take science next year?" a teacher said to one of the students as she wanted to take it, but the teacher made her feel like she shouldn't.

Questionable
Hopefully the school is alot better than it used to be in early to mid 2000s now that a former teacher has taken over the reigns and from I can remember,the current principal, when I was attending this school was an awesome teacher. Now looking back I wouldn't of recommend the school in the early 2000s as I look back now at what..uncomfortable and questionable acts FROM teachers to students, I wonder how that behavior was never flagged. Whangamata area school
The toilets are unacceptable especially the boys changing ROOM! The fields rubbish and the grounds are not well taken care of And The teacher are not highly trained they are not good with neurodiverse students and they are rude to the students and the changing room facilities are unacceptable And the teachers abuse the withdraw room because they have no class room management and they don't no how to work with the students and The budget cuts are unacceptable the teachers love the surf academy

Hell yh
Great school with great people and awesome atmosphere. Education is okay could be better could be worse. Canteen could do with some work but the students are amazing kind, welcoming, passionate and cheerful overall this a pretty well maintained school?

Whangamata area school
Nothing for the year 9s to year 13 to do a lunch time, teacher jsut teach at those school for the chill life, like living by the beach, angry teacher don’t explain work well
