Whangamata Area School

Hopefully the school is alot better than it used to be in early to mid 2000s now that a former teacher has taken over the reigns and from I can remember,the current principal, when I was attending this school was an awesome teacher. Now looking back I wouldn't of recommend the school in the early 2000s as I look back now at what..uncomfortable and questionable acts FROM teachers to students, I wonder how that behavior was never flagged. I will not name names,but I would seriously, SERIOUSLY look at the behavior of teachers during that time, as this happened to multiple girls but grooming was not something we even thought about back then. I pray these teachers in question are no longer employed at this school.

The toilets are unacceptable especially the boys changing ROOM!
The fields rubbish and the grounds are not well taken care of
And The teacher are not highly trained they are not good with neurodiverse students
and they are rude to the students

and the changing room facilities are unacceptable
And the teachers abuse the withdraw room because they have no class room management and they don't no how to work with the students
and The budget cuts are unacceptable the teachers love the surf academy

Great school with great people and awesome atmosphere. Education is okay could be better could be worse. Canteen could do with some work but the students are amazing kind, welcoming, passionate and cheerful overall this a pretty well maintained school😄

Nothing for the year 9s to year 13 to do a lunch time, teacher jsut teach at those school for the chill life, like living by the beach, angry teacher don’t explain work well
