A place where I could study as a teenager again while not diminishing the real life challenges I was facing.
The kaiako would push my baby up and down the hall to sleep after breastfeeding her and wanting to complete my studies.
They picked us up and dropped us off home daily. They provided me a safe place to pursue my dreams while navigating life as a teenage mother.
The daycare is the daycare used by Toiohomai staff and students so my children were able to stay there for all tehir daycare years when I later got my degree.
