Masterton Intermediate

We were a bit hesitant about sending our child here, as they knew pretty much no one, but overall we have been really impressed with the school and it’s staff. Our child has made great friends, the teachers have been fantastic (except one who needs to go - but tbf it’s damn hard to get rid of lazy teachers). I like how the staff don’t tolerate little shits. They are firm but fair. They really encourage all students to get involved in all aspects of school life. Sure, this school won’t suit every child, but it’s been great for ours.

I'm not going mention names* But i only like 2 or 3 teachers their. I HATE a few other teachers, they give pay backs for absolutely NO REASON. The chicken is dry, rice is soggy, to much veggies and no sauce, beware!!- Never get on the bad side of teachers TRUST ME, stay a diva✨️???

this school was my life I loved how many opportunities there were there wasn't always nice people, but you don't talk to them and stay out of drama, and it will be the best years of your life because it was mine even though it was a while ago still great school great teacher's.

I was meant to have a meeting with the principal about the bullying and my poor mental health, but was told he was “too busy” so had to see assistant principal instead. The AP didn’t do shit and I tried to kms a week after our meeting, then was pulled out of MIS after that. They don’t care about if your child is ok all the care about is the kids who do well in sports and the kids who are geniuses. So yeah if your kid is Neurotypical and within a good mental state, it might be a better experience. Whereas if your kid struggles with mental illness or/and has a neurodivergence I highly suggest you go somewhere more accommodating. (Also side note one of my teachers was extremely unhelpful, she would poke fun at me having OCD and ADHD ???? So some teachers are horrid aswell ?)

A school full of so many amazing opportunities, amazing staff who support and care for their students!!! lovely ahua about it definitely sets your child to the road of success ❤
