Good school. Has taught me well so far and I have received good grades. The teachers are very helpful and help you learn and understand the curriculum better
Huanui College - An immersive school
Huanui college is an excellent school academically, it has helped me throughout the years and i hope that it’ll do the same for many to come. So many positives
1. Great activities that are provided as part of your fees from archery to sumo bots
2. Academics are so high that 90% + of students pass their university entrance
3. Camps are free
4. Incredibly talented students who are immersive and welcoming to the best of their abilities
5. Incredible outdoor education and environment, on a literal farm and inside classrooms are spacious.
6. Great amount of validation
Now for the negatives, as any school has negatives:
1. A lot of teachers have a bias towards the students they like and its very apparent
2. Not many trips happen which is fine but it also limits the interaction of students with the outside community
3. We do not engage with other schools
4. Staff over expect things from students i.e 2 hours of math homework, 30 min of English, 45 min of business… (it really adds up)
5. Jobs that are supposed to be the responsibility of teachers is now the responsibility of teachers, i.e Duty, breaking up fights or any emergencies after school bus bay or lunch or morning tea
You kinda gotta be a tough person to deal with the low key bulllying from the teachers to the students

Amazing School, highly recommend. Teachers there helped me achieve my full potential.
