We love Tawa Educare! My family have been a part of this centre for over 5 years now and we couldn’t love it more! The teachers are warm, kind and genuinely care for the kids.
The best daycare! We have been with Tawa Educare for the last 5 years across 3 of our girls and the team here are incredible - so supportive, fun, caring and have had huge impact in their development as they grow and prepare for school - my girls love going to daycare and I consider Tawa Educare a huge part of our village. Thanks team!
Supportive and fun activities with a great environment
Have had our child there for 4 years across the under and over 2 rooms. Always find the quality of activities really great and exciting for our child and the kaiako really get to know and support the kids with genuine care. While there has been some teaching staff turnover across the 4 years over half have been there long term which has been great for stability.
We've had the pleasure of sending our daughter to Educare Tawa for 3 years. I appreciate the care and attention each teacher provides and the creative learning (and fun) experiences she's participated in. We regularly get updates on the childrens activities from the teachers, are able to opt in to extra activities in the community and have great dinner time chats with our daughter on what she's gotten up to each day and the delicious meals she's gobbled up. Each day she's supported to be herself, learn new skills, and build lasting friendships. I would highly recommend this centre and the village of supportive parents I've encountered along the way.
In response to the 1 star rating below: Take your child out then if you’re that unhappy. It’s unacceptable to treat the teachers the way you did yesterday. They are all human at the end of the day and they do an incredible job at keeping our babies safe. If you break down the fees to an hourly rate, you pay approximately $10 per hour for your child to attend. Goodluck finding anything cheaper
Ignore the 1 star review below. I have 2 children at Educare and they both love going. Their day is filled with age appropriate activities and learning opportunities through play, moreso now they have a wonderful centre manager in place. Everyday I see the care and support the teachers give to my children. There is always safe staffing as per MoE guidelines.
Our child has been at Educare Tawa for coming up to three years.
Our 4yo loves it there and learns so much about social skills, school preparation but also general education. We receive stories about the day regularly from our child but also from the great and regular communications that the manager sends out weekly. While the bigger room covers the ages 2-5 age appropriate activities are covered too. Our second one will join the daycare soon too. Highly recommended!
I have two kids at Educare Tawa. They both love it there. The teachers are always so friendly and caring and are often cuddling kids who need the extra support.
The food is great! My kids get loads of hidden veggies in their diet.
My 4 year old is always talking about what she has learned so definitely think she’s getting the right level of education there for her age. She’s also made some great local friends.
Highly recommend!
Constant staff shortages. they are meant to be a ratio of 1 teacher to 10 children, but regularly you'll only find 2 teachers supervising the 60 children in the 2-5 y/o room.
Excessive fees. If you research how much funding an ECE receives from the Ministry of Education per qualified teacher and compare that to the fees, you'll see that this company vastly over-charges the parents for services the government is already providing funding for. combined with the staff shortages above, and clearly the owner is very wealthy
A wonderful place to send your children. My son has just finished his time here and he has had a memorable time there. The staff are so friendly and genuinely care about the kids!
