Horrible
Terrible school… do not recommend and will not ever return. P.S, uniform burnt along, with my happiness. Coming from a parent, the Teachers are so one sided to the children and do not take our tamakis feelings into consideration - ecspically our wahina. Edgewater college does not live up to there school values. Preach. Racism everywhere, bullying is wild, sexism through teachers and dirty school with classes and bathrooms that are old.

Very bad school
Horrible school, I absolutely regret sending my child here to Edgewater College. The principal does not care for the students. teachers were so rude to my child and did barely anything to help. Problems shoved under the carpet. It's a poor school, with teachers who constantly leave. No one is welcomed here. Their Moto "Edgewtaer cares" is absolute rubbish. Disgusting behaviour, do not send your child here unless you want them to end up miserable .

This schools Trash
L school this environment is really bad they have vapers all around the school and people don't even care about their education. Edgewater kids also throw rubbish all around the school and when they tell them to stop they don't listen and might even swear at you.

I don't know how to describe but it sucks people vaping around the school and people don't even concern their learning.

Bad Scool | Teacher Review
During the time period where the transition of new leadership. It all turned sour. Fighting was on the rise; previously the bathroom was lit on fire. Many fights have occurred between the lower years. Leadership is a bit power-hungry. Mental health is a serious problem; staff is flushed with students facing this type of issue. There are a few good teachers, my co-workers, but the issue is that this school doesn't enhance critical thinking, or personal creativity, ad destroys individual development, as compared to the last higher management that were in power. I was a teacher who worked here previously, but resigned due to the aforementioned reasons. Be very careful if you want to shape you children to actually be talented leaders.

Great school
Friendly staff. Teachers are flexible with their teaching style and open to teach more about what you’re passionate about. A downside was the lack of shade environments. The school clearly heard the complaints about it - now we have “fale” and shade spots. The after-school traffic on Edgewater Drive is terrible though (because of construction nearby). Apart from that, the school provides 1:1 devices (and cases) to all students who enrol (because of COVID and online learning). NCEA results are above national level also (which is huge for a level 3 decile school). My time at Edgewater College was great. Highly recommend sending your children here.

It's actually a good school
The people are supportive and caring, believe it or not. The more you put in, the more you get out of it. Racist towards white students? Rubbish.

Edgewater actually sucks
Lowkey racist toward white people. Students are openly homophobic and teachers do nothing about either of these issues. Teacher's dont push students enough, instead they give the class more time to hand in work. But in saying that it is a small school so its much easier to get 1 on 1 time woth the teacher and much more support is available for work. But the mental health help at the school is trash.
