Bruce McLaren Intermediate

Honestly this school needs A LOT of work, the teachers barely do anything about swearing and honestly? The work is getting repetitive, constantly researching about random people and writing paragraphs about them are boring. Sure, they helped me with my learning a little bit, but now it feels like im doing the same thing everyday.

However, I love my math teacher, he actually makes us do unique activities to improve our learning, and explains briefly yet clearly. He gives us enough time to write and listen, unlike SOME teachers who yap for 45 minutes then expects us to finish in less than 10 minutes.

What I also want to talk about is the "personal space" thing, I think theres no point in it really, unless its sa or pushing/fighting, other than that the personal space thing is just dumb, if they actually cared then im sure more than 70% of the students would be on Bsup..

And last but DEFINITELY not least, is bullying. Some of these teachers literally dont care if you're getting harassed, unless you're literally dying, they won't do a thing about it except "Oh, just ignore them!" but its never that easy, some students even stop going to school because of how badly they're being treated. A few weeks ago, I witnessed a disgusting scene, a girl was simply "bad" at playing soccer, and this other girl cussed her out and threatened her, saying that she was going to "crash out on her after school", which i assume means fighting her. And what did the teacher do? Simply turn a blind eye because its "not that serious", are we for real right now? And its not only her, many students get bullied, mainly quiet ones, and the bullies get away with it EVERY TIME. Im tired of it honestly.

Anyways, that was my review, I hope you actually notice this and do something about it.

Great school. Head is soooooo passionate about both school and kids. A couple of older teachers clearly have lost the passion but you get that at most school. Great tech block. Mindplus programme. Not much to fault

Good school. I really think its the best intermediate in west Auckland
