The principal is excellent in her educational knowledge but lacks confidence in leadership, resulting in a muddled SLT and toxic faculty. Plays the guilted white woman trope a lot. Failed to manage a staff dynamic that resulted in the collapse of the bilingual unit and dealt with it by placing a new first year teacher into a class with high behavioral management needs which was a mess and unfair on everyone. The parent community is really encouraging and enthusiastic and the school does a good job of supporting students from adverse backgrounds. Academics are middling .... there's a lot of focus on supporting the kids who need extra help, which is good, but kids who are ready to move forward are held back. Extra-curriculars are not as stated - often restrictive entry that isn't declared until too late.
