Not an inclusive school for neurodiverse Tamariki.
They were dismissive and not open about listening to my child's needs, said they would not get "special treatment" they obviously know nothing about neurodiversity or about equity vs equality in the classroom.
Lots of negative feedback from other parents. We live in Plimmerton and went out of zone because this school ticked no boxes.
I dont understand why people are snobby and think it's superior when it's clearly lacking. A high teacher turnover and lack of community feeling and kindness. Look elsewhere.
Also overflowing with kids.

Chris Steffenson has dragged this once amazing school down to his gutter level. He is a bully and a narcissist. He belittles teachers and parents. He has surrounded himself with sycophants and has created an environment of fear for teachers and a place where bullies prosper and grow. Children are scared of this man and many times mine have come back in tears after seeing other children bullied and sometimes threatened by others classmates. Non of this behaviour is managed. There is also a serious concern of children's safety. I've lost count the amount of times police have turned up to deal with children, that should be getting mental health support, as they threatened others with violence. Most notably a student stabbing another in the arm with a screwdriver! This all gets brushed under the carpet by this dictator and parents are non the wiser. The board are useless. They do nothing to support parents and seem hell bent on protecting the Principal and the schools reputation.
principal is a bully he like to make the teachers cry and tries to get the girls to like him by always asking if he is there favoutie teacher if you say no he says all your not my favourite either. He makes us feel uncomfortable and we don't like to be around him as he is a creep. The teachers moan about how bad it has got too
The kura has now released some of the data on the fyi.com site but not all responses! Further examples of them not being honest with the community. The fact over 9 teachers have left this year shows how bad things have got.
Nāwai ka hē, kātahi ka hē kē atu (going from bad to worse).
Bex Galloway's observations are whakamataku (frightening) "Following implementation the board could expect to see impacts on data for (the then) Year 1's at Year 8." Kore kupu (there are no words). All the information can be found in Plimmerton Board Hui. Avoid this kura if you can
