Why you shouldn’t go here
I used to go here in 2022-2023 I do not recommend this school what so ever. The kids hardly ever punished for what they do if they bully or fight someone. They don’t really teach. I use to just play games all class cause there was no work or the teacher can’t be bothered. If you don’t like sports teachers won’t really talk to you. Most of the teachers only talk to the bullies of the school and barely talk to the others. People vape in the school bathrooms.

unsafe school
Based on what I've seen and heard, I would not go to Maidstone Intermediate. I have serious concerns about student safety, including reports of students bringing knives to school and incidents where teachers have physically engaged with students. It is clear that the school rules are not enforced by the new Principal in 2026, despite ongoing behavioural issues and frequent visits to the school by police. awful school
way too forced on sports your kid will be favoured so badly if they do sports but if they do well academically? nope try somewhere else hun because your child will NOT thrive at this school, not to mention the awful teachers and zero reprocution for bulling whatsoever

racist teachers and unfair teachers
I am currently going to this school 2023-2024 all this school cares about is sport the way the teachers punish the students is unfair as if one student misbehaves everyone is punished for it also many teachers have been racist saying the n-word or blaming darker skinned students for no apparent reason this has happened to my friend where we were talking and a teacher came up to us and started to ask my darker skin toned friend if he was ruining our playtime which was blatant racism to words him wish I went to Ferguson instead

I had high hopes for Maidstone Intermediate, including its emphasis on indigenous culture, which is an important aspect of our heritage. However, I feel that the school’s focus on this has become too extreme, overshadowing other cultures and perspectives. Sport sport sport
Went there 1999 - 2000. Hated it. Form 2 camp on the first day of the year was an absolute nightmare. A lot of the kids were little 'shirts'. I guess that's the age group. This school was and is crazy about sport. If your kid is more academic, consider putting them somewhere else. Good range of classes, but I found some of the teachers really strange.They'd be all gone from there now though!
