Goodwood appears to be a lovely country school. The beautiful surroundings contribute to a serene atmosphere and most of the teachers are caring and professional.
However, dealing with ‘issues’ is not a strong point for the management. My granddaughter has had severe bullying at the school for a few years now, to the degree she doesn’t want to go to school. She gets excellent grades, has a bubbly personality which makes her a target. It is only dealt with on the surface, little talks to the bullies but no consequences for these continuous actions. This definitely trickles down from a Principal and Deputy Principal not addressing these behaviours except when pink shirt day comes around.
Perhaps there should be more opportunities for students during breaks to occupy their time and not focus on ganging up on certain students. Librarians, choir, clubs led by teachers so they succeed.
Please address this, as it’s not good enough.
School is great if it werent for the nasty piece of work bully of a DP. She is a negative, confidence destroying influence amongst staff, micro-managing every last detail and causing undue pressure and anxiety in the workplace.
Note, my grade for the school teachers portion is solely based on this one person, the rest of the staff are great, but this school has a serious culture problem and it all revolves around this one member of mgmt.
