A Costly Education for practically nothing in return.

This school is certainly something.

Firstly, the student behaviour management is poor. Teachers and Deans are willingly giving out detentions for poor sustained reasons, while not actually focusing on the true troublemakers. Teachers here also have an egoistical attitude, some teachers being more noticeable- Basic respect is lacking. This school accepts any type of student, troublemakers, everything- with no regards to fix any of their issues.

Secondly, education. This school pushes you to the absolute limits, sometimes there are two different teachers for a subject, which in result creates different learning enviroments. This inhand, creates an unequal education, as a teacher may focus on more aspects of a topic than the other- making testing very unfair. This school also gives no regards on how you're actually feeling, weekly tests that go on your report are supposed to help find where you're lacking, but when you write tests with heavy topics once a week, it begins to have an effect. There are barely any breaks inbetween, but sure- the holidays count, but they immediately throw you into testing on the first week again. This takes a huge toll on how a student can study, as typically you would relax in the holidays, so your studying habits slowly go away. This can create extreme stress, which can be easily resolved by giving 1 week away, and making the next test somewhat easier.

Thirdly, teachers. A LOT of the teachers here have an issue. Regarding with their attitude or behaviour. Yes, I understand all teachers have a different teaching style, but some expects you to learn a topic all by yourselves. We pay this school for a reason, not to tutor ourselves. Some teachers are noticeably more racist, biased, egoistical, and throw an attitude at students constantly. Alot of the teachers here actually put their temper out on students, treat students differently because of their race, and some always talk to students in an extremely hypocritical and egoistical manner- which is utterly disgusting. The manner in which they punish students is also extremely abusive, some teachers straight up yell, leave no time to explain their issue, barely ANY teachers understand how to actually talk to children.

The area isn't very big, but that's alright. The thing is, alot of the classrooms in the old building have very inconsistent temperatures, one classroom is hot, and one is cold. This makes staying inside the facilities extremely uncomfortable. This makes it extremely difficult to focus, or even learn in these conditions.

Overall, this school might not be worth it. The students here have no respect whatsoever, using words and acting disgustingly, the teachers here are no better, and the education system in this school is somewhat messed up. The disregard of students emotions that actually care about education, is very unfair. For the amount of money you're paying, absurd uniform costs, it in my opinion, is not worth it. Save your money and time for another country.

Insanely bad school

This school genuinely sucks, not only do the principals care more about your uniform then your academics, they genuinely do not care for there students, they just smash in 900 foreign students who don't speak English whatsoever, and expect them to learn and not constantly disrupt classes. ACG Sunderland is just a cash grab school, all they want is money and I have no idea what they're funding, the school is smaller than most public schools field, the 'field' (if you can even call it one) is slanted, and most importantly, they care about their image more than anything else, if your top button is undone? Detention, if you forget your tie? Detention, there's also this system in ACG Sunderland, Green Cards, Orange Cards and Red Cards, basically, they're cards where you give to the teachers to mark your behavior and then you give it to the dean to check, thing is, they give these out so frequently, they ran out of green paper. They also take things way too seriously, if you have an Air pod in your ear? Detention. This school is just genuinely the worst, the gym is small, the school is small, but their money is big, why can't they buy more land to increase space for the school. Or are they just that money hungry.

Academic Cash Grab

I experienced high turnover of teachers, racism and bullying.
There were no bells or PA system, and the building is leaky.
There is not good support for staff here who are overworked. Its sink or swim. The children are in a pressure cooker, and the class sizes are just the same as public schools. I dont know where the money is all going, because the facilities are not what they could be. The Primary Principal was hard. Its a for-profit-school run as a business exam factory and you will pay the price.

Bullies thrive

Academically your child will be pushed to their limit. Based on the personality of the child this can be good or a bad thing. No diversity of sports offered. Class bullies are protected. The ministry of education are not able to hold the school accountable for not dealing with bullying due to it being a part of the private sector. Favoritism/clicks within teachers and “favoured” families. Even the school principle has a few favourite families where those children receive most of the school awards.
